My Understanding about Multimedia

Multimedia refers to content that uses more than one medium. The categories of media generally include:

Text

Sound and Audio

Video and Films

Graphics/imagesAnimation/video (live footage as opposed to animation)

Games

Website

Others eg. Virtual Reality

               Multimedia is the field concerned with the computer-controlled integration of text, graphics, drawings, still and moving images (Video), animation, audio, and any other media where every type of information can be represented, stored, transmitted, and processed digitally.

  

                Multimedia as a term encompasses any visual or audio source. Images, video, audio, text, or a combination of them. It's any kind of information being presented in the graphic and audible form usually but not limited to using electronic equipment.

                As a system its the means of information projection using electronic devices, usually computers, displays, projectors, speakers, or other stimuli delivery systems as long as it is delivering information.

    

                Technically speaking, a video (several images run in succession) with sound qualifies as multimedia by itself. Moreover, now that the Web is capable of giving a true multimedia experience, the focus is that multimedia with interactive elements.       

   How do I use Multimedia?

In the modern days, especially amidst the current pandemic, the COVID-19 outbreak, multimedia has been the convenient way to interact with the community, share particular subject matter and ensure entertainment in any aspects of our lives.

Used in Communication

   Skills in multimedia lead a clear communication using forms effectively. This means there are multiple forms eg. pictures, video, text, and many more are used in exchanging information in any aspect - interaction in school, classes, work, business, media and etc. It varies the type of multimedia to use, as long as it conveys and relays a message, then the multimedia work was a successful form of communication. 

Used in Studying and Research

Computer-based, simulation, and online training have been prominent to students and everyone to practice the profession, enhance the development of advanced investigative projects, and attaining knowledge and skills. Throughout, I used multimedia to collect data, gain knowledge, and practice skills - especially answering modules.

Used in Literature

This includes the graphics and text we've seen a lot around the surroundings eg. books, news, and animation that brings the creative context of understanding culture, history, and powerful messages to every individual just like how I use it in expressing my exploration of endless fiction themes, emotions and feelings through writing poems, manuscript infographics, and visual essay.

Used in Mass Media and Advertising

Digital, print, radio, TV, mobile, and magazines is a form of exchanging information, products, and services. A wide range of multi-media is the medium for organizing public opinion, responding to radical changes, influencing civil, cultural, political & economic outlook, and improve the social situations from its successful entertainment, acquiring knowledge, delivering news, and music.

Used in Business

It applies the use and purpose of multimedia to fulfill the service of business in presenting the product or content activity, training, marketing, product demos, network communication, and many more like how I shop online in Shoppee. 

There is numerous huge scope of multimedia in various sectors like Movies, News, Advertisements, Photoshoot, Video shooting, Sound editing, E-teaching, Motion graphics, Graphics, Animation and etc.

In general, today everything of media and entertainment is dependent on multimedia for the execution of ideas, creating new art, attaining livelihood, convenient living, and recreational activity. We use multimedia everywhere in our surroundings for Media, Film, Education, Entertainment, Online, Communication, Etc. 

Whatever we listen and see digital like graphics, visual, animated and audio music on Mobile, TV screen, Laptop, Desktop or any other device which is known as multimedia contents in various format. The future is so advance in multimedia like VR, AR, and more that bears the chance of more improvement and development through the social and economic rate of the global.

What do I think the significance of Multimedia? 

            Modern lifestyle depends on the convenience of multimedia in everyday life and improves the development of our country, assessing information and wholeness of the fulfilling & comfortable situations and conditions of living. 

Education: Multimedia accelerates language learning. It also improves interactivity and increases impact on several language learners and can be a source of motivation for many learners. Under these new systems of education, in a multimedia environment, student attention and retention are improved and can identify and solve the problem through the power of multimedia's wide scope of pedagogy.

Literature and expression: Multimedia can drive people's lives in a positive manner and change the game and liteature completely. If features like images and videos are largely used in social life - it brings excitement and interest amongst humanity. It was convenient to people in many aspects like learning Tablets are one source that brings in the essence of digital content with multimedia through it, topic-specific video lessons in the form of animations, fun project-making videos, a massive digital library with insights on life skills and ethics like honesty, hard work, dedication, and many such crucial aspects.

        Thus, with so much to explore in an enjoyable way, people's recreational and entertainment now engage in a convenient way. We feel enthusiastic and take initiative to learn more and know more. Multimedia being all-around support to improvement and development helps in the holistic growth preparing us to enjoy and learn.

Communication: It offers the easiest and most convenient way to access or obtain a wide range of essential information and services in a particular subject. It increases the opportunities of individuals to learn, finding professions, be productive and entertaining through constructing connections with others in forming relations and performing casual relationships. 

Services: It gave an opportunity to people to present an idea, make marketing and create new ideas. through the elements of multi-media, it gives hand to people to create more engagement in social, a company or agency that performs a public service or subject to government regulation like we do advertisement, performing demo and many more. 

Using multimedia resources is important in giving information and instruction, making explanations, or narrating factual or personal recounts of events.

            

        In general, starting with audio, video, text & graphics, games, websites, Virtual Reality, Mixed Reality, HoloLens, VR Glasses, VR Apps for services, and engaging in activities, multimedia is taking a new curve in the form of lifestyle. The new paradigm that is followed in this AI-powered world is always defined through the application of multimedia. To be very precise, multimedia is taking the form of virtual media, interactive elements, and 5D space for the field of digital services.

 

 The entire future of global depends upon the applications of various technologies in near future.
